With the aim of improving your customer experience, we are working to enable you to contract and assign checked baggage for your group directly from our platform.
Baggage included in group bookings is 1 checked bag up to 25 kg, except for infants + 1 underseat cabin bag (40x20x30 cm).
Additionally, it is possible to add extra checked baggage:
- 1 suitcase of up to 15 kg per passenger and segment.
- 1 suitcase of up to 30 kg per passenger and segment.
Before we explain how to contract checked baggage through the platform, remember that:
- On flights to and from Amman, Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Sharm el-Sheikh, Agadir, Algiers, Banjul, Dakar, Marrakech, Oran and Tangier have a weight limitation, therefore the request of additional checked baggage is not available for these routes.
- To be able to contract checked baggage the booking must be fully paid.
- It is only possible to add 1 extra checked baggage per passenger.
- It's possible to contract this service up to 72 hours before departure of the first flight.
- Contracting extra checked baggage is subject to availability. In order to guarantee the necessary space inside the aircraft, on flights on which you wish to contract more than 30 pieces of checked baggage, you will need to submit the corresponding request at least 15 days in advance of the first flight through our Customer Service Centre during working hours. These special requests need to be expressly authorized by Vueling. Vueling may reject or adjust special baggage any items requested for safety reasons.
Here we explain how to contract these services via the group platform:
1.Enter in the Opportunity and click on the "Additional services" button. Always remember that this option will be enabled once the Opportunity has been fully paid.
2. In the "checked baggage" section, click on the edit pencil to add the luggage for each flight with the option (+/-).
- If the group has a return flight, indicate whether you wish to contract the same services for both flights in option “Same bags for outbound and return flights”.
- Once you have selected the service, click on the "Save" button and then on the "Next" button.
- Remember that if you are requesting more than 30 pieces of extra luggage, you must contact our Customer Service Centre for authorization.
3. Checked baggage can be automatically assigned to the first passengers in the booking by selecting Automatic allocation or you can select Allocate manually to indicate which passenger to assign the checked baggage to.
- Click on the "Next" button to manage the payment of these services.
4. You then need to make the payment for the contracted services by credit card. Payment by bank transfer is not available for these services.
5. Once payment has been made, you can back to your booking where you will see the details of the contracted services.
Booking of musical instruments, pets on board, and special services for passengers with reduced mobility will continue to be available through our Customer Service Center within working hours.
