To enjoy more privacy, for greater comfort, to have more room, to travel with a leg in plaster, or to carry a musical instrument that exceeds the hand luggage size allowance. At Vueling, we understand our customers’ needs and want to make it easy for you. So, all our fares let you book an extra adjoining seat for passengers in your booking.

• If you book through the agency website, you can do so by ticking the “Extra Seat” option in the flight search.

After selecting the flight, just choose which passengers will be travelling with an extra seat and then accept the legal conditions of this service.

The seats will be allocated automatically, but if you wish, you can also allocate them yourself. Please note that this option is not available for XL or Excellence seats.

If you need to book an extra seat once the booking has been generated, or if the passenger needs two adjoining seats, please contact our Call Centre for agencies.

For bookings that have a resident or large family discount, if you wish to book an extra seat you must do so in a different PNR to the passenger’s, as the discount does not apply to extra seats. Our Customer Services will link the bookings.

• If you book through GDS, Vueling does not support SSR EXST, so you’ll have to create a PNR with two passengers, in one specifying EXTRA SEAT in the passenger’s name:

SURNAME/NAME (passenger)

SURNAME/EXTRASEAT

SURNAME/EXSEAT (if two extra seats are required)

When issuing the booking you must issue one ticket for the passenger and another for the extra seat (EXST). You can issue the passenger’s ticket automatically, but the ticket for the extra seat must be issued manually. Extra seats do not incur airport taxes or YQ and, in the case of connecting flights, there is no YR connection fee.

Subsequently, you should contact our Call Center via phone to replace the EXTRA SEAT by passenger´s name.

Please note that you cannot book an extra seat for codeshare bookings. For this service, you must issue the ticket with the Vueling code.
