At Vueling we work hard to provide air travel that is accessible to all passengers, in the most relaxed and pleasant way.
Passengers with special needs who need to fly with an assistance dog must have an official, physical certificate qualifying it as an assistance dog or guide dog, issued by a member of Assistance Dogs International (ADI) or International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF).
In order to fly with an assistance dog you must state so when you book your flight on our website. Select the Passenger with Special Needs option in the Passenger Details section. You’ll be able to state that you’re flying with an assistance dog. Travelling with these pets does not incur an additional fee.
You can also do so by calling our Agencies Services Centre once you have completed your booking.
For GDS bookings, don’t forget that you must state the type of assistance required with the corresponding command:
Remember…
For GDS bookings, don’t forget that you must state the type of assistance required with the corresponding command:
- WCHR – R (ramp): Passengers who are able to go up/down stairs and walk to/from the seat in the cabin, but need a wheelchair to get to/back from the aircraft.
- WCHS – S (stairs): Passengers who are not able to go up/down stairs but can walk to/from the aircraft.
- WCHC – C (cabin): Passengers who are completely immobile and need a wheelchair to get to/back from the aircraft/passenger bus and need assistance to get up/down stairs if there were any, and transported to/from their seats.
If the booking is made less than 48 hours before departure, Vueling will not be able to request assistance, but will provide the contacts to arrange it directly with El Prat and Fiumicino airports.
It is essential to contact our Customer Services centre once you have completed the booking, to enable us to offer a service suited to your particular needs, like:
- Passengers who need to travel on a stretcher.
- Passengers who need to carry medication.
- Passengers travelling with plastered limbs.
