The importance of indirect contact

You must always include your customers’ contact details , so they can receive information about any flight changes.

At Vueling we want to offer all our passengers the best service possible. In this sense, we are committed to EU air passenger rights and will inform passengers directly about any issues that affect their bookings and flights.
It is very important that we work together so we can notify them if our flights are affected, especially regarding imminent departures and flights outside of agencies’ usual opening times.

So, we would like you remind you of the importance of including valid contact details* for the main passenger in bookings made via any of our channels (*email and phone number).

The email and (mobile) phone number should be included in Vueling Agencies during the booking process, as well as any processes arising from a schedule change, so our customers can view the change or refund status.

For GDS bookings, you can use the codes SSR CTCE and CTCM established by IATA.

  • SSR CTCE: Email (passenger’s email address)
  • SSR CTCM: Mobile phone number
  • SSR CTCR: Passenger does not wish to provide contact details (Refused)

Lastly, for bookings made via NDC, you should use the specific email section.

*These details will only be used for operational notifications and information about the booking status. Vueling will not use them for sales or marketing purposes.
* The European Commission may ask Vueling for information on agencies that do not comply with this requirement.
